Collaboration for Community Health Promotion

AHI has collaborated with former participatns in 6 local projects.

Pakistan: Participatory Community Leadership Development Course (2014~)

Based on the Plan of Action of Mr. Hector Nihar (ILDC2013) , AIDS AWARNESS SOCEITY(AAS) organized a participatory training for local young NGO staff to improve their leadership and communication skills and to address community development issues within their organization and communities.

Community Based Rehabilitation Facilitators Training Workshop

 This workshop was initiated some alumni of PCLDC and organized by AAS.

Nepal: Community Development and Psycho-social Well-being (2014~2016)

KOPILA NEPAL and AHI jointly has started the program for community development and psycho-social wellbeing since 2014.This project offers counselling services and facilitated their self-help groups to form an association and to do advocacy on psycho-social well-being within their communities.

Philippines: Health Volunteer Training and Alternative Health Care Promotion (2012~)

Integrative Medicine for Alternative Health Care Systems, (INAM), Philippines Inc.worked with an indigenous ethnic minority group to form people’s organizations and run community health promotion activities and implemented training for community health volunteers on alternative and traditional medicine, and helped the people’s organization enhance their management.
 

                      

Philippines: Healthy Lifestyle Project (2013~)

Asosasyon ng mga Nagkahiusang Alagad sa Kalamboan -New Corella (ANAK-NC) supports health promotion activities run collaboratively by local residents and the local goverment in four barangays of New Corella, Davao del Norte, Mindanao, following up on AHI’s long term support for participatory community development in this municipality. 

                      

Sri Lanka: Training for Ethnic Minority Leaders (2013~2015)

Janawaboda Kendra [JK] Supported group activities(health activities, etc.) and leadership training for Thelingu, an ethnic minority of Indian origin not yet fully recognized in  the Sri Lankan society

 

 

 

 

Sri Lanka: Supplementary Education in Tea Plantation Communities (2014~2016)

Human Development Organization (HDO) and Satyodaya Center for Social Research and Encounter collaborated to provide supplementary education based at public schools in their working areas.
